Michael: Cookin' up a bookaversary vlog

My first year as an author has given me plenty of food for thought.

  1. Cool, vlog. Congrats on your anniversary. This video leads me to believe that you purchase your spices at Costco. They are big. That's cool. Maybe next year you can add spices--like--paprika and marjoram and sassafras. Also, you could incorporate your Pam cooking spray behind you. . . Again, congrats. And I'm really looking forward to your book TRAPPED.

  2. Thanks, Kristen! The one I'm really kicking myself for not using: dillweed. Soooo many possibilities with that one (inc. a bad Beavis/Butt-head impersonation).

Maybe next year I will do TRAPPED... In the Kitchen!

  3. One year - wow! Thyme flies, huh?

So we're all coming to your house for dinner now, right? You can serve pizza and cake, my favorites!

Can't wait for TRAPPED. When is it coming out anyway?

  4. Anything to do with the consumption of lovely edibles grabs my attention span immediately!
What- cooking is made easier and tastier?? No way, I take it all with a pinch of salt...
OK - my salt thing was lame but I thought yours Lisa, "Thyme flies" was a real corker!
    CONGRATS On ANNIVERSARY!

  5. We will just get Domino's Cinnastix for everyone: They are halfway between pizza and cake.

Thanks! It is scheduled for January '11.

  7. Oh you’ve made my day! I’m looking for you on Amazon right away (unless your book has kissing between unmarried couples or nudity or “sexual references” in it- then the Censorship Dept. will confiscate it as soon as it comes into the country; you’ve got to love the old Middle of the East!)

  8. Hi Natalie,
Yes, I fear Gentlemen is just the sort of book that gets the Censorship Department out of bed in the morning. After a long day of rifling through innocuous invoices and non-libidinal letters, it is the kind of book that makes it all worthwhile. I actually suspect they wouldn't even get past the cover(!). Sigh.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video, though. I hope you are having a great day!
